What are some important points to know about applying to universities and colleges in Texas?

Well, that’s a good question! While applying to universities (colleges) across the US can be similar, there are a few key points to watch out for when writing your personal admissions essays and supplemental essays for Texas:
⦁ Not all colleges in Texas have the same application systems or deadlines as most US colleges
⦁ The University of Texas has earlier deadlines than some other colleges. For example, the Early Admissions deadline is generally in mid-October, about 6 weeks earlier than most Early Action deadlines for college admissions in other states!
⦁ Other university applications in Texas (such as Rice) do not follow this format and have different deadlines, usually early November for Early Action and early January for Regular Decision.
So, if you’re overwhelmed with tracking all the deadlines and ensuring you haven’t missed any key details, a college admissions counselor may be the right fit to help guide you.

What are Texas’s application deadlines?

However, generally the University of Texas’s undergraduate college applications deadline is in mid to late October, or the first couple days of November.
